MICHAEL HOGAN, M.D., F.R.C.S.C.
Dr. Michael Hogan received his medical degree from McMaster University in Ontario, Canada. He then stayed at McMaster University’s medical school to complete a five-year residency in orthopedic surgery.
Dr. Hogan completed fellowships in sports medicine and major joint reconstruction. After his fellowships, Dr. Hogan served as chairman of a physicians’ group covering emergency room care at West Haldiman General Hospital in Ontario, Canada. He then relocated to Cumming where he served in a number of leadership roles as the Chief of Staff and as a member of the Board of the Lakeside Community Hospital. Dr. Hogan then joined Baptist North Hospital, where he continued to serve on the Board until the hospital was purchased by Northside Hospital. Northside has continued to expand and grow into a premier facility tending to the needs of the community.
As an expert on surgical techniques, Dr. Hogan founded and served as the Medical Director of Forsyth Surgical Center and is a past President of The Gwinnett Forsyth Physicians Association.
Michael Hogan has focused his surgical concentration to Laser liposuction and other procedures. He is board-certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the Canadian Medical Association, and the Medical Association of Georgia. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Married with four children, Dr. Hogan served for many years as team doctor for several Forsyth County High School teams. He worked at the judo venue as the athletes doctor, and the team doctor for Zambia at the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta.
